Groundhog Day Predictions 2010...

We discussed Groundhog's Day and what it might mean if the Groundhog sees his shadow and what it means if he doesn't. We're all pretty tired of this cold weather and would like nothing more than to see warm weather creeping around the corner. But we all realize it's not up to us!

We are anxious to see the results tomorrow! Take a peek at how our classes predicted tomorrow's outcome! As you can see, more of us think he will NOT see his shadow and we'll have an early spring. Let's hope those friends are right!!

Cute graph - looks like the "No's" win!

We made predictions in my Pre-K class today and the overwhelming majority said the groundhog WILL see his shadow tomorrow. Boo!! I vote for early spring ;)

We're beginning to think he will ALWAYS see his shadow! Maybe there's too many visitors at his home and he's afraid to come out??

This idea could teach young children a lot about holidays, predictions, and seasons and it looks fun as well!! :)

What a cool blog you have. This old timer is so impressed. I am blogging about my 34 years in the classroom.

Cindy...love checking out your blog (as usual). Hope you are having a great year. We were hoping to have an early spring too! My oldest daughter I think was almost mad at that little groundhog. :)

I just had a student ask me what I thought about teachers using blogs to communicate with parents. Automatically, I thought of yours and am forwarding her the link.
