Shannon explained the game this way:
- Get a dice with a zero
- Get a paper with 0,1,2,3,4 & 5
- Get a pencil and a partner
- You roll the die and whatever number you get, you write it on your paper in the box
- Then it's your partner's turn; he or she gets the die and does the same thing (roll the die and write the number)
- Then he or she gives it back to his or her partner
- Keep going until a person gets a row with numbers up to the top
- Then they win!
Thanks Shannon for the GREAT description!

Thanks so much for sharing how to play - I look forward to going back to Kindergarten after the holidays and trying it out with the Manaia children. Beverly and I are in Christchurch at the moment at a BIG conference called Ulearn08 learning lots about new ideas in ICT.
Wow..is it time for the Ulearn Conference already? Can't wait to see what exciting things you'll bring back to kindergarten! ;-)
Have you seen the "video flip" - a few presenters here have talked about it - seems to be a great tool for videoing, very child friendly.. an american product?
Ulearn is amazing - would LOVE for you to experience this - must be a trip to NZ in the budget!!!
What a fun way to practice rolling the dice and writing numbers. Keep up the good work kindergarten!

Hello from Sandusky, Ohio, USA! We have just begun blogging and are looking for blogging buddies! We are just beginning to play numeral dice toss, as well! It is such a fun game! We will also play it with bigger numbers as the time passes and we get really good at 0-5! Do you play with bigger numbers, too? We are going on a field trip tomorrow to the apple orchard. It will be our very first trip together and we are really excited! We hope you will visit our blog and leave us a comment! www.tinyurl.com/shepblog
