Popsicle Party...

Today we got to have a POPSICLE PARTY!! We collected the most box tops of all the classes and as a reward, we got to have a nice frozen treat. YUMMY!! Thanks to all the families who sent in boxtops to help us win!

Valentine's Day '11

We had fun at our Valentine's Day parties. We finally got to take home our bag of Valentine's from all of our classmates. Our parents helped with treats and games to make our party a fun time for all. Thanks to the parents for all their help!

100 Days of School...

Friday was the 100th Day of School for us. We were so excited! Since our very first day, we have been counting every day that we have been in Kindergarten. Along the way, we have learned to count by 1's, 5's & 10's. Reaching 100 days has been a major milestone for us. We each brought in 100 tiny treats. We mixed them all together and made a great snack.

We did 100 exercises, made fun hats, ate and danced. We had a lot of fun!

Halloween 2010...

We had our Halloween Parties today. WHAT FUN! We got to parade around the school in our costumes, then we came back to the room for a party. The parents had great crafts, games and snacks for us. We even got to take treats home with us. THANKS to all the parents for helping us have a fun time! Take a look at the videos from our day:

Holiday '08...

Here's hoping everyone had a great Holiday Break and that your New Year is off to a great start. My apologies for not posting much lately. We're back in session tomorrow and will be back on track on our blog as well.

Before the break we had our Holiday Party. Thanks to all the parents who helped out. We were due for a special day on Friday, but ended up with a snow day instead. We've postponed our special day 'til a little later in this week. Here's a few images from our Holiday Parties.

Halloween Fun...

We had fun at our Kindergarten Halloween parties. There were all sorts of fantastic costumes, witches, movie characters, cats and more. One fun costume was Jack as "Dr. McCutie", heart specialist. Job Description: to fix broken hearts! How clever! ;-)

We got to parade around the school. Then back to our classrooms for party fun! Thanks to all the parents for your help with our parties. Take a look at some of the fun we had:

We had a great time at our parties today. Thanks so much to all the parents for always stepping up to the plate and providing such fun times for the classes. We really appreciate all that you do!

The 100th Day of School...

Today we celebrated 100 days of school! We have been counting all the days since the very beginning of Kindergarten. We couldn't count any days that school was closed, only the days we were actually here. Along the way we have learned to count by 1's, 5's and 10's. We've learned about place value; the ones place, the tens place and now the hundreds place. We've talked about the importance of putting the digits in the right place to show the correct value of a number; for example 17 and 71 do not have the same value. We have been anxiously awaiting our celebration. Our room was decorated and we made 100 day glasses. We did 100 exercises. Each child was to bring in 100 snacks to put in the big bowl to make a "trail mix" treat. We sorted our treats by size, color, crunchiness, etc. It was delicious! Blog Party...

Today we celebrated the fact that we had 1,000 visitors to our blog. Mrs. Schroeder baked cake for us. We also had ice-cream and milk. Maggie added cookies to the PM class treats. Thanks to everyone who visits our blog. Keep checking in on us....we LOVE to share our Kindergarten world with you.
